Elevate-Ed: Provision Pathways
🛤️ Provision Pathways
At Elevate-Ed, our provision is structured around the DfE Three-Tier Model of Alternative Provision (2024/25). This ensures learners receive the right type of support at the right stage—whether that’s short-term help to get back on track, targeted part-time interventions, or a longer-term curriculum with accreditation.
Our five flexible pathways — In-School Support, Site-Based Learning, Outdoor Education, Digital & Blended Learning, and Enrichment & Life Skills — run across these tiers to meet learners’ individual needs.
⚡ Tier 1: Transitional Support
Time-limited interventions to stabilise learners and support reintegration into mainstream education.
🏫 In-School Support
Mentoring, attendance building, and behaviour coaching delivered directly in school.
Ideal for learners who need:
Reconnection with learning in a familiar environment
Consistent, trusted adult relationships
Short-term support to reintegrate or reduce fixed-term exclusions
🧩 Example: A KS3 learner with attendance issues accessed in-school mentoring and short site-based literacy sessions, improving routines and confidence within 8 weeks.
🌱 Tier 2: Targeted Support
Specialist interventions 1–2 days per week, complementing a learner’s school placement.
🏫 In-School Partnership Provision
Elevate-Ed also delivers embedded in-school programmes within mainstream settings, working alongside SENCOs and school support teams.
These sessions are:
Flexible and trauma-informed, supporting learners with SEMH, attendance, and regulation needs
Delivered on-site in a quiet, low-stimulus space, keeping learners connected to their peers and school community
Focused on social-emotional learning, confidence-building, and curriculum-linked tasks (including digital projects such as Minecraft Education)
Matched to learner-specific goals agreed with the school
Impact and Accountability
Weekly overview emails keep SENCOs and staff informed
End-of-term reports align to DfE Three-Tier AP metrics and EHCP outcomes
Reviews involve SENCOs, parents/carers, and learners to set next steps
🧩 Example: At one Norfolk high school, KS3–KS4 learners accessed weekly in-school sessions, improving attendance, self-regulation, and engagement through a blend of reflective tools, digital projects, and movement breaks.
Commissioning Note:
This model is currently commissioned within Norfolk schools and can be adapted to suit other mainstream settings. Schools and local authorities can contact us to explore how Elevate-Ed can deliver tailored in-school provision for their learners.
🏠 Site-Based Learning
Structured 1:1 or small group education in a designated learning space, with a flexible timetable to support anxiety, trauma, or SEMH needs.
🌿 Outdoor Education
Regular sessions using nature-based learning to build self-esteem, resilience, and practical problem-solving.
💻 Digital & Blended Learning
Creative use of tools like Minecraft Education to build digital skills, teamwork, and focus.
🎨 Enrichment & Life Skills
Practical projects such as cooking, art, and enterprise to build independence and social confidence.
🎯 Tier 3: Longer-Term Provision
Full-time or extended alternative provision for learners unable to access mainstream placements.
Site-Based Learning with a structured timetable of academic and personal development
Outdoor Education integrated into the curriculum to promote resilience and life skills
Digital & Blended Learning with accredited projects (AQA, CREST, IDEA)
Enrichment & Life Skills preparing learners for college, training, or employment
🧩 Example: A learner on a longer-term placement followed a blended programme of site-based education, outdoor learning, and digital projects, gaining AQA Unit Award recognition and transitioning successfully to college.
🏅 Accreditation & Outcomes
We are registering as an AQA Unit Award Scheme Centre, enabling learners to achieve recognised certification in tailored learning areas. Learners also access wider accreditation through:
CREST Science Awards
IDEA Digital Skills Awards
Hour of Code Projects
This ensures every learner, particularly those in longer-term provision, has the opportunity to achieve meaningful outcomes and prepare for their next steps.
